NATURE PRESERVE

The Parks and Recreation of Sycamore Township are a strong focal point in our community. With area sports, community projects, garden clubs, and activities, Sycamore Township offers a MULTITUDE of interest for everyone. Sycamore Township residents have a wide variety of park facilities available to them.

The Township now owns seven parks, including the most recent addition of the 18 acres of deluxe athletic space at the Robert L. Schuler Sports Complex in the Northern part of the Township.  Several shelters are available at Sycamore Township's own Bechtold Park as well as a scenic natural trail for the outdoor lovers. All of our parks are home to many area sporting events which are among some of the more popular activities throughout the year.  The Township Trustees are dedicated to providing top notch equipment and facilities to our residents and visitors. Continually maintained by our maintenance department and with the support of the North Sycamore Civic Association, we hope that you too will take advantage of them.

The Sycamore Township Nature Preserve located at the Northeast corner of Fields Ertel & School Roads offers a natural wooded area featuring a wide variety of plant and animal life on its 16 acres:
